Haha yeah they are a pain to edit, takes forever. 3 trip out to get the photos and videos. Then half a day editing it all is the worst part!

The iPhone cuts out background noise so is subdued, lower, but in post you can do far more with it than a noisy wind rustling video from the other two? In post you can increase the volume and add what you need, but the others that wind and background noise would spoil it?

O mentioned just this at the end of the video. That wind filter is handy to have without that the Mi 11 ultra would have been better but the wind noise was terrible on it.

Low light it seems to be off but I had it on. I have no idea why it was like that, but the day footage the EIS was defiantly working you can tell.

For some reason it kept using 5x digital zoomed main camera footage and not the periscope camera the Mix 4. It will not always use it with video which is odd.

I was wondering that same thing until he answered it. I really wanted to see what it can do because I don't think there are many phones that have it in its price range. I could be wrong though.

Yep. The stability and stutter is really bad.

I have it and no stuttering or lack of stabilization. If you use it in 4k 60 is just perfect!

The footage of the 4k60 comparison also looks like it was set to FHD instead.

At least some streamers I know tend to have someone accompany them. Either a walking alarm(woman) or a cameraman\decent runner. Besides, not every town is a shithole like Naples. Robbing people usually requires a degree of subtlety and subterfuge. Gotta distract the target, have a clean grab and escape without attracting attention. Sometimes the escape is as simple as feigning ignorance, but that usually gets ruined by any sound a phone makes. To rob a person shooting a video on camera stick - would immediately not only alert that very person(obviously), but also will be generally observable(Chris isn't really shooting some dark alleys). Sure, you could maybe get some 2000 euros worth of hardware, but you'll probably have fat cops actually getting on their asses for this case, because the bigger the target, the bigger the "GTA star level". A proper robbery is how I lost my phone - as a tourist in Naples, while being a shitty cheapskate on a bus. Yeah, I was also used to being able to put my phone in a front pocket of my bag if necessary(and that's necessary for a tourist taking shots), but a little distraction from an old man in a bus can easily make you move your hands, allow someone to unzip your pocket and grab the phone. At that point all it takes is to suggest to check whoever's left the bus. And you are clean Ocean. Yep, I was that stupid, but that's Naples. Low gains, not a whole lot of effort, but that same old man would probably sell that phone on Piazza Garibaldi the next day\week(not joking, there are actually elder people going "Cheap iphones samsungs" there, and that's not the worst part of it). Hell, I've seen this trick done to an american tourist while riding Circumvesuviana, although the gang did probably jump the train, because the tourist was too busy hysterically running across the train cars... And if I just lost some 400$ worth of phone, he lost a proper wallet with ID. That's a big F. Another Naples story is, obviously, a bike drive-by. Gotta identify someone being easy with their bags. But the point is that usually when it's all done - there's hardly anything you can do about it. The police knows EVERYTHING. Even that they are absolutely hopeless, especially with no evidence. They aren't going to chase a stolen lollipop. And then, of course, there can be assaulted robbery, but, like I said, Chris isn't shooting in places where THAT's a risk. But that, too, can happen in Naples, just in case. Every story is either related to me, to what I witnessed or to someone I know.

Very true the panning juders and stutter is a huge pain they all do it. Even my S21 Ultra before I sold it was the same but the iPhone has improved it is better than when I first covered it a year ago almost. I also have the overheating issues on my iPhone...

@@Techtablets yes , 12 pro max is not the best , but it’s never gonna be the worse so it’s pretty consistent and reliable in most basics. But I’ve almost crashed my dji mini 2 as screen dimmed to literally black , without charging it from second to second so in a hit climates or a summer it’s very annoying phone to be used on a sunlight . Then I had couple other gripes like copying photos and videos to a windows pc can be cut down by “device stopped responding “ , apple image format so every file must be exported to be able to work with it most of the time . Just saying I wish android phone are more pushing towards reliability and handing basics , not too far of a leap without basics being any good , whatever it’s a judder , colours shooting up and down ..

right! I have been wanting to leave ios for years now. But if I have to choose between an iphone, or an android phone + a dedicated camera.... i'll choose the iphone just to carry only 1 device. I have a pixel 4a which isn't bad... but when I compare the video quality to my Iphone 12.... android's issues are more apparent. :/ shame really

@@rokko_hates_japan yeah , I wanted that s21 ultra and then new xiaomi 11 ultra or whatever it is called , but at some categories it’s leap forward , but it’s still not reliable enough . Like iPhone is never the best , but you get at least decent results . Not like sometimes the best and sometimes unusable totally .. for real tho hardware is a killer on these androids , but software sucks hard . Which is sad because I would dump my iPhone today being it different

If only 12 Pro Max had a better optical zoom and just one little IR Blaster it would be the perfect phone, main reason why i want to switch to xiaomi again

@@Techtablets I just got a 10 Ultra and have to say I've been overall very impressed with the camera system despite the lackluster ultra-wide. It really does have nice OIS on the main lens.

Night video it wasn't working clearly as commented, but during the day you can clearly see the stability / EIS is on. No idea what happened at night I didn't touch anything 😕

Maybe you saw others with the Chinese ROM and the big camera update? The global doesn't have it yet and these cameras can do a lot better but these where the results I got with the current release firmware on the Mi 11 Global.

There a lot of free or cheap alternative camera apps. I use ProShot for photo and video and Cinema 4k for video in log mode. I doesn't care too much about a phone camera app, I care about hardware instead (sensor, OIS, processor)

For me too in video. I wasn't seeing the huge difference a lot of the people commenting are seeing, and I thought the ultra-wide shots on the MI 11 Ultra were way better than the other two.

@@DRIVER-SEBVET ProShot works very well, the only downside is not log mode for video. But you can control manually all the big parameters (iso, shutter speed, noise reduction, exposure, focus). Is the only app able to work with all the sensors in my phone, even the depth sensor (aka, portrait mode sensor). If you want to shoot video there is better apps, but pricier too and more complicated (ProTake, FilMicPro, McPro24fps)

Wise move, at least for video performance.

It dominated yes, but it didn't win everything. MI 11 Ultra has the best zoom camera and the best stability (Day time) with it worked.
