I love just how the video is using carefree motives and colours that scream innocence, and yet you can feel the darkness. It's amazing and just how it captures perfectly this surface - level feeling of happiness and innocence, but there is this unsettling feeling oozing from the video that below this illusion of innocene and hapiness there is this darkness, evil whisper that gets stronger. This hits really hard as a feminine bodied person. What got my attention though was that the dancers looked as if they were in the process of being overcome by flora. It reminded me of the Greek myth about the nymph who begged the gods to turn her into a laurel tree to escape Apollo. It's as if the dancers would prefer losing their lives/humanity over the trauma assault brings

I could watch this forever, it felt simultaneously shocking and comforting. And the set is absolutely stunning!!! Towards the end “you want me on my knees” I began thinking of Artemis leading her girls into battle and felt such a strong kinship with the ones shown. I rarely watch music videos because so many are storyless dancing that just doesn’t appeal to me but this, once again, resembles Hozier vibe of otherworldly magic, unapologetically calling the church out while showing what could be if they weren’t in the seat of power. This was so beautiful, so evocative, I can’t wait to see what else Paris releases ❤️✌🏼

An acknowledgement, the sadness and mindlessness to the women's faces when they dance around her, because they know it is something that just keeps going on and on and on. So upsetting.
