I picked this up the second it became available. Pikmin 2 in particular is so good, I've now bought it on 3 separate occasions throughout my life in addition to years playing it on dolphin emulator. I even taught myself how to code the game just to make hard cave levels to explore. Fantastic to not only see it being made available for everyone to enjoy on switch, but a sequel coming that looks to be following up on the amazing premises and promises of that title.

i know this might be a dumb question, but when you buy the bundle, does it come as two separate apps in the switch home menu, or is it a single game that you choose between 1 or 2 in a menu?

@@meowfacedoom As a download it seems to be two separate apps. I think there's a cartridge version coming in september so I assume the'yd both be on the same thing at that point.

Pikmin was so amazing when it first came out. They're still amazing now, but that feeling of just seeing something so new and fresh and so well fleshed out is something that doesn't come around often. The original game had such a great aesthetic and I don't just mean visually. The way the day time could be relaxing one moment, and stressful in the next, the feelings of triumph, or the sadness of defeat when you lose some Pikmin lives and you don't even accomplish your goals, the contemplative daily recaps, it was just such a revelation

@@pabloarambula4627I say you can jump right in with any of the Pikmin games 😊 but I personally prefer Pikmin 1 and 2. Definitely 2 for me. So sad Olimar and Louie weren't in Pikmin 3 😭 As for genre, I'm not sure what to classify it as 🤔 Adventure, puzzle?

Be aware in Pikmin 1, not sure if they patched out the glitches but in area 3 be careful with the wooden ramps, sometimes pikmin can clip through and fall

It's easy for nostalgia to speak for me and say 1 is the best, but 3 is just a dream experience. I'd play 1 first, I don't much care for 2 and its caves - but if you have 3, make sure you play it before 4. It's just such an extremely excellent game, in all areas.

It should always be a high priority to get all 3 of them onto any Nintendo console before a new Pikmin game is released since it's common for a person to only like 1 or 2 of them since the design philosophies vary so much from game to game. Otherwise, a lot of players won't get whichever one(s) they like. I only like part 2 but 4 looks like it's gonna be great so I'm excited for that.

This is actually perfect timing for me! I was heavily considering giving the Pikmin franchise a shot by starting with Pikmin 4. But now that Pikmin 1, 2, and I believe 3 (correct me if I'm wrong here) are now on Switch, I'm able to start with the franchise's humble beginnings. Thank you Nintendo, I'm sure I'll enjoy Pikmin!

Pikmin 3 is available as a Deluxe edition! It includes all the DLC from the Wii U original plus a couple of new additions and modes. Personally, I find the Wii U version to have an edge over the Deluxe one, but I'm so so glad the entire main series is finally available on the Switch for everyone to enjoy!

It is good to note that the very first Pikmin game is HARROWINGLY difficult, but the games get less and less difficult as you go forward from version to version. If you're not a fan of having video-game-induced heart palpitations, I'd say Pikmin 3 is a good place to start, with it's gorgeous graphics and modern, yet smooth controls.

I mean, they've been messing with Pikmin for a while now. A Pikmin 3 port, a spinoff exclusive to 3DS, the Pikmin short films, the Pikmin pedometer app, crossover appearances in Nintendo Land and WarioWare and Smash and Super Nintendo Land, and Pikmin 4 being worked on since 2015.

This was an amazing direct, lots of legacy games being added as well as Pikmin 4 and Mario Wonder. Was hoping for Twilight Princess HD since it's ready to go essentially but these Pikmin titles along with Prime Remastered are really helping this year sit alongside 2017 in the great games years.

Pikmin 1 is the best Pikmin game. It had the sincerest plot, and the gameplay the most "Pikmin" in the series. It's hard to explain.

hard agree, the vibe of being completely alone is hard to match in later games, and no other pikmin game has had a hard day limit the way pikmin 1 had the 30 days tops.

@@leonro Pikmin 3 had you follow a linear story for most of the game. It wasn't until that last third when you finally unlocked the blue Pikmin where it felt like original Pikmin, which is a little disappointing, but they made up for it with the mission mode. THAT felt like actual Pikmin, but it was dethatched from the story.

I just bought this game a few days ago, and managed to beat Pikmin 2 in about 8 hours. Once I went into the Piktopedia and heard the music, I was literally overwhelmed by nostalgia. I beat this game when I was 10, and, it couldn't be a better experience. Still reeling from the nostalgia, thanks so much for bringing this back Nintendo. ❤

I've never played a Pikmin game save for the 3 Deluxe demo, but I wanted to, so I got these downloaded just like two or three hours after they were announced. Also, awesome that they're doing a demo for 4. I won't be playing it because I already know for sure that I want the full game so why get spoiled, but that's great for people who aren't sure.

1:12 it looks like the Purple Pikmin didn’t do as much damage when landing on the enemy. I wonder if they nerfed them. It also looks like there’s no lock on so that’s gonna be tough to deal with after playing 3 Deluxe. I’m still excited though.

I've never played Pikmin before, and after playing the Pikmin 4 demo, I'm hooked on these games. I hope Nintendo makes more and gives it the same love as the Mario series.

As exciting as this is, I must say, a bit of a let-down that they removed the product placement treasures from what I could tell. Don’t know, the fact that you were hunting for “treasure” and you bring back a Duracell battery gave a bit of charm to Pikmin 2 that’s difficult to describe.

Yeah, the textures are blurry AF. You'd think they could at least have used higher resolution textures. It's good they are on the Switch so people who haven't played the originals can enjoy them, but overall it's a pretty ordinary effort to be honest. Ninty, please put more love and care into reviving your past catalogue of awesome games, they deserve it.

😮 The first Pikmin was an era for me. I refused to let a single one die. I restarted the days a lot lol. No, Olimar never left the planet. And then I played pikmin general and just bossed my friends around in the game so they could beat it, i was like ten I think lol.😂😂 😂

Pikmin was my first GameCube game. At the time I was blown away by the graphics. Also amazed at the original take on RTS games too.
