@@mascancris6152 I'm Romanian and a fan of her, but to blame her shortfalls on Cahill is super-bias. "Her mental game is weak" is a very accurate statement. Hopefully Mouratoglou will be able to help her overcome these issues and she'll reach her potential. Cahill only helped her career.

Totally. It’s the same thing I say about Djockovic. He came up having to beat Fed or Nadal to win so many tournaments that now his 3rd year game is stronger than most! Playing Serena and Maria and the other greats of this era definitely make her fit to beat top 10 players with no majors.

100% Her early experience is serving her well now. And we forget she was world #1 and a grand slam champ.

The type of game Simo played until 30yo is extremely physical and very injury-prone (as we could see for the last two seasons), so her only chance to get back in top 10 and also extend her career (I think she wants to end her career in Paris 2024, with an olympic medal, gold if possible) is to be more aggressive, take the ball early and improve her technical arsenal (dropshot, smash, slice, etc...) and come forward and close the points at the net, if possible :-)

Her fans are just being optimistic, which doesn’t mean anybody is degrading Swiatek. Now the Barty has retired, Swiatek is going to be challenged, just as every other No 1 player has been. That’s the nature of the game, you’ll get over it!

They've already played this year semifinal in Indian Wells, and the first set was legendary, I've never seen a player smashing her rocket with such a fury like Simona did, she wanted to win so much and was so determined, and she was very close , but Iga was in the middle of her current streak, just unbeatable champ on a mission ;)
