Nyx & Hemera I disagree. You can be a psychopath who has a logically based morality. In fact logical morality is a better way of approaching it then anything in the past...

Dexter Lecter Isn't that a sociopath?
@dexterlecter7289
@dexterlecter7289 8 років тому
Nyx & Hemera I could be wrong but my understanding is that a psychopath is some one born with the condition and a sociopath is some one that was put through trauma so bad that they developed the condition. I personally think that an empathy is universal and psychologists are full of shit to assume some one doesn't have an empathy. I think that they can shut theirs down and are prone to creating fantasies that merge way too close with reality. Honestly though I am not sure what the DSM says in regards to the differences but that would be the source to consult for broadly accepted answers. Most of the serial killers that I've studied have had tramatic childhoods and once caught they say that parents need to pay better attention to kids and respect their feelings instead of treating them badly, that to me implies that they do have a conscious. Ted Bundy was speaking out against porn before he was executed. Interesting enough, violent rape porn used to be illegal until Obama administration shut down the part of the justice department that monitors that. Rick Santorum was the only person to speak out about it and he got ridiculed big time by the ignorant liberals. Not saying liberals are ignorant but generally the ones with an agenda seem to be for whatever reason.

I absolutely love the study of the mind and think psychology has its place and needs to be studied. I also think it is still very young and misguided subject it is still learning things. Maybe in a couple hundred years it will be more accurate then it is now. Also the DSM is a very silly book and needs to rethink its existence.

Maybe being psychopathic is just being smarter then others and being better. While evryone doesn't want anyone above then so the normal people call the better people 'psychos' and trap them. thinking of killing is psycho but what's wrong with thinking when you don't do it? But if someone kills then anyone can take him to jail. I dont think we should trap anyone for thinking differently but we should trap people for giving threats to people. You may call me psycho but I think of killing, I think of eating 'wierd things' and I think that's totally fine
@amicableenmity9820
@amicableenmity9820 7 років тому
Not all sociopaths are smart, they're like normal people in that regard, some are well adjusted some are awkward. Also, impulsive thoughts are normal (I don't know if you have them or if you just take time out of your day to think about killing, either way, no offense meant)

@chester6343
@chester6343 4 роки тому
My 20p, I think the point he was trying to make was although Tony was labelled a psychopath, claimed he wasn't and even after his release and somewhat proof of him in actual fact not being a psychopath, he's been labelled and stigmatized, there's a part of him that thinks he is a psychopath even if he's proved to everyone that he isn't, it's a big issue with the far left playing identity politics and labelling everyone, sticking everyone in there own little box when that box can be divided up infinitely, it's a dangerous game that can cause the opposite of what the left stand for, that is, division and not unity.
@nahdarlin4800

@YtubeUserr
@YtubeUserr 8 років тому
The narrator is confused because in reality it's four categories and not one. He is trying to fit all the 4 categories of the dark-tetrad into one category and that has confused him. Some say it's dark-triad but experience will show it's a tetrad The DARK-TETRAD family: 1) Machiavellians 2) Psychopaths/Sociopaths 3) Narcissists 4) Sadists There is a lot of co-morbidity among the four groups, but more often than not you will see people who fall strictly into only one or two categories. And if you try to fit ALL of the dark-tetrad into one category, you will get confused just like the narrator has. Understand that all 4 categories can exist independently besides lots of co-morbidity. There is no confusion as far as the dark-tetrad goes. But what he said about the DSM not being clear and wrong diagnoses on bipolar and autism disorders is true. The USA has gone overboard a little on these two. Even schizophrenia is not completely understood. However, there is no mistaking the dark-tetrad (or dark-triad) conditions. The so called "grey area" is minimal if you clearly understand the 4 categories of the dark-tetrad.
@YtubeUserr
@YtubeUserr 8 років тому
***** He is blissfully mixing the four. He is including the symptoms of the "other categories" into "psychopathy". The result is confusion and disillusionment towards psychology in general. Psychology is not perfect, but not in the way he is describing. This is just a person who has not sufficiently understood the topics.
@Archietrex
@Archietrex 8 років тому
+Favilla Morty How would you define the difference between sociopathy and psychopathy?
@YtubeUserr
@YtubeUserr 8 років тому
***** Sociopaths lack empathy too. One main difference is that while a psychopath engages in cold, calculated, remorseless destruction; the sociopath exhibits more impulsive tendencies towards destruction or might not even care for calculated destruction and harm. The other proposed main difference is a genetical versus environmental factor, but this does not have too many takers at the moment As a general rule, sociopaths prefer to cause untold suffering and strife without getting directly physical. Psychopaths don't mind causing untold suffering and strife through direct physical means. I have come across all combination of these 4 kinds of aforementioned monsters. Co-morbidity is high but some were pure variants too.
