Y'know watching this video is weird because of how accurate it is unintentionally. You can leave snakes in a box without feeding them(certain breeds for years). It is a federal crime to get rid of snakes like they were doing ( in the wild) and snakes don't sleep at night so a completely dark box would make them hiss loud constantly. Anyway definitely can't wait to preorder my box of snakes.

I love how everyone else grows to hate the box of snakes except for the dad. He loves it and won't hear otherwise.

Ignoring the other incredible things about this, your musical choices are utterly superb. Chopin Prelude Op 28 no 20 is such a haunting piece, and one I learned how to play in the last year. The range of different music you've chosen at different times is something that differentiates you from the very good, into the upper echelons of filmmakers. Breathtaking.

The fact that we got no details about feeding the snakes tells me those boxes probably just contain portals to some kind of hellish snake dimension. I suppose they coul also be portals to a snake food dimension.

The little smile at the very end was so well set up and executed and tied the whole thing together. Almost missed out here since I saw like the first 30 seconds the other day and only came back today because "hey it's one of Joels clips, it's likely going to be good if I give it another chance"

Ever since I got my box of snakes I've been able to focus of work and finally got that promotion. Sure the snakes got loose but I like to think I've upgraded to house of snakes.

This is legitimately one of my favorite films you've made. Knowing now that the cast is your family makes it even more impressive. My family is very supportive of me, but I couldn't get any of them to do something like this. It's clear that you have some top notch skills in this field to be able to direct untrained volunteer actors. Awesome

Thank you for this gem. Now I finally have a way to describe how all "white noise" that's supposed to make it easier to sleep makes me feel, especially when I'm already super tired and irrationally angry at anything in the way of me and sleep. I just want silence, is that so much to ask? Now when I'm struggling to explain to people how the white noise makes me feel or to understand it, I'll just show them this video.
