@@SeraphX2 if it only had another vestibule over the door. I would buy it in a heartbeat! The fact they left it like that, is exactly why I wouldn't for the reason you had stated in your comment. A few dollars more and it would be a outstanding tent. Maybe they will come up with a vestibule attachment 😂

Luke; that has to be one of the best instructional demonstrations I have ever witnessed and I have seen a lot, both in the army and as a civilian (sorry, former member or ex-army, never a civvy). Clear, concise and complete; your attention to detail (you can put the top clip either side etc) really makes it simple for people to follow and not have delays trying to figure out this or that. Really superb, professional demonstration. Now as we both know it is waterproof... on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest, would you recommend this tent and to whom?

Same setup as my MSR Elixir 2. I think the reason the "hasty" setup exists is just to keep some of the rain off you as you then setup the inside part. At least that's what MSR said about my tent. I did get to try it in the rain, and indeed because the inner tent has mesh and stuff, putting up the rainfly and poles first did prevent the inside of the tent from getting rain logged during setup.

After your last review of this tent with the hailstorm and rain event, that hit my area in TN first, I pulled the plug and ordered this tent. It arrives today so anything that fails now is your fault! No plans on doing serious camping trips with threats of huge rains so I think this will be good after all your reviews on it.

This tent seems to be pretty good. The set up is right on with most other tents, the weather seems to me repelled, even though it has a different Fly design and it has enough room inside for two or one with gear and or a pet. The hasty set up would be great for a light rain or mist or wind and set up in the right orientation. Thank you Luke for all the info on this product.

Hello Luke, thanks for another great point of view on this one tigress tent. There's still the point of that opening that doesn't have a vestibule or any fly covering it. If the rain is straight down, or the wind shifts and it starts blowing at the door, it's going to let a lot of water in if you have to go to the head, or cook. It has the little vestibule on the back side, but that seems pretty small. If I had this tent, I would always have to set up at least a small fly over the front just in case. I don't really trust weather forecast. It's always better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it. It can't cost that much more to add a generous vestibule to the front. It could always be rolled up and out of the way if it's not needed. Thanks again stay safe.

It looks like a very interesting idea, what with the internal fly an all, and your reviewing this tent has garnered my interest. One thing I am not understanding about the doorway system and the internal fly setup is: is there a way that you can open the fly and leave just a screen to mitigate the flying insects? I can't really tell by looking at it. In the reviews, the door is either open or closed, that I can see, and no screen only view. If anyone can tell me one way or another, I'd really appreciate it. And Luke, thanks so much for all you do, brother. I always watch your videos with interest, whether is a gear review or just getting out there and seeing the sights. Thanks!

@TheOutdoorGearReview, how do you feel about sizing groundsheets slightly less than the footprint? I noticed you have about 2-3 inches of plastic showing around the perimeter. Not a bad design but I prefer a tent with a fly that extends out further then the bottom of the door so you can leave it open without the rain dripping right onto the interior floor. The design of this fly has the rain pouring right onto the door so what's the point? Most people don't wish to spend their entire time camping closed up in their tent, being able to open the door and leave the mesh closed at least gives the feeling of not being closed in.

This would make sense and/or be useful ONLY if you could set up the tent inner, after the fly was up... ie if its was raining or such setting the fly up first, then moving under it for shelter and taking your time setting the body up... but the design does not really support that...
