@@ZucoWoW Haha yeah; in M+ I found you could run no Water Shield, No Mana Spring and press Ever Rising Tide on CD and still be fine; this is with heavy Surge usage on tough fights. Riptide and HST are just that strong and I don't think people get it yet. Frankly, high Haste makes everything in the Shaman kit just way better. Healing Rain (and Acid Rain), Riptide, HST ticks, Surge cast time, and especially Chain Lightning cast time, which is a massive hurdle for learning how to put out good damage. If I have to stop my casts to heal people, it puts a big dent in damage potential. So yeah, I have come to really like Haste for RShaman. All the Hpals already sit and drink during boss RP, so mana is generally not even a thing.

Also, I forgot to mention one thing all the Cloudburst Andys never talk about. If you watch all the RShaman streamers doing high keys (like Laren) and look at logs, Cloudburst timing is really bad; they drop it, then top the group, then a huge hit comes in, then they feel obliged to cast more heals, then Cloud Burst goes off and heals 1 guy for 15% of their HP. It has it's moments, but the dirty secret is that the high key pushers don't really use it very effectively at all, and timing it is an absolute nightmare.

Generally, you want to drop it as you get higher and higher in m+, in order to pick up better talents for damage or healing... But, it's not the end of the world to grab Water Shield... Next patch we are getting Water Shield baseline, which is gonna be awesome.

Dont use cloudburst in dungeons, its super strong in raids. But imo underwhelming in M+, it can be strong but you need to invest alot of mana

I used chain heal all the time. It was very useful for me anyway on my particular play style. I didn't do high keys though. Most of mine were 10s at the most.

First, I've now done multiple +20's with this build, just for clarification (on the channel now!). Don't want people just thinking I've done this on a lower key. Second, I absolutely agree that Cloudburst has amazing value in those exact situations you've described. It is incredible at dealing with high burst healing moments, which is a valuable tool in general for the Resto Shaman kit as we don't have too many options for big burst healing. My main point I want to emphasize is how valuable each healing Stream Totem actually is with the "Living Stream" talent that makes it ramp over time. For context, my R-Shaman is now 408 item level. I dropped 1 HST and over the course of it's life, it threw out 99,155 healing. So 1 HST gives me 100k in healing, as an average. The power of the HST setup is in its consistent HPS it provides, not its burst healing. 2-3 HST's out at once is 300k+ Healing. That's roughly 19k HPS just from the totems being down. Add a bunch of Riptides and you've got 25-30k HPS without having to really do anything. This frees us up to get Healing Rain down for damage and cast Chain Lightnings to blast enemies. When we do need to triage people for those burst healing moments, I've been pleasantly surprised at how good it feels to have those HST's pumping extra HPS in those moments. It buys me those few extra moments so I can get off my big Healing surges with Undulation or big Chain Heals to bring everyone back. It also works much better imo with cooldowns like Ascendance & AG. All of that HPS from the totems gets pumped into Ascendance or AG when they are rolling, vs. no HPS at all from Cloudburst until you detonate it. Again, Cloudburst is fantastic. It helps out a lot with burst healing. I've just enjoyed using HST to prop up my HPS and then I've filled in my Triage gaps with other spells to help me get through those tough moments.

I think Mastery benefits shaman in PvP, but less so in PvE. Crit>Verse>Haste>Mastery seems to be pretty good. Especially with tier set.

@@DanPathard In M+ I put a higher prio on Haste, at least up to 22% or so... It really feels awful to have less than that... You just don't have time to get your spells out before someone is dead.

@@ZucoWoW I've noticed that. I'm running one of the haste trinkets to offset the rest of my gear. It's been pretty good, but I'm not sure how it'll feel once I replace that.

Oh yeah it works very well even without the extra 10% crit... The tier set is just a small bonus on top. :)

Yeah it's looking really solid. The damage won't go up by too much, they are just baking in some of the talents we already took, BUT, that will free us up to be able to take more HPS talents, which is awesome! All around, big buffs for Rest Shaman!

I've done Halls of Valor and other really healing intensive keys like Ruby life Pools on 21 and 22 with this build... It works in higher keys just fine... Multiple HST+ Riptides on everyone buys you enough time to get a huge Primordial Wave combo out or triage people with huge Healing Surge's with Undulation... That + your other big cooldowns like SLT, AG, and Healing Tide Totem, all help get you through... I've time nearly all the dungeons now at 21 or higher, when the big one shot mechanics come in (Gale Arrow on 3rd boss of Nokhood, or Craw Bird Boss on Algeth'ar), it's much more important to have coordination in your group on use of defensives to get your through it. :)

Not if we want to get down to AG, and Totemic Recall, plus the extra totem duration bonus in the middle of the class tree... Those are huge for this build.

@@ZucoWoW Actually, the Improved Lightning Bolt will be removed in 10.0.7. All Shaman Specs are going to have the 20% damage increase by default, so as Call of Thunder in the ReSham tree

Check the +20 Court of Stars I did with this build... I've also timed a Shadowmoon Burial Grounds +20. This build does work in high end keys, you simply use other tools to deal with hard hitting mechanics, like Healing Surge with Undulation + AG... Ascendance, etc...

Shaman's toolkit doesn't need help in high healing check settings. I've done +20 keys using this exact same build and never had any issues. People on logs are logging 23s without CB totem. If you feel that you have to have it then maybe you're running with people who shouldn't be taking that damage in the first place

No it works even better actually... I went and did a +10 later in the afternoon and it went very smoothly... I'm going to get some gear on the Shaman this week and give you guys and update on how this build fairs in a +15, but I can already tell you, it will be fine :)

I did a +21 Azure today with this build and it performs well, overall my dps is around 42K. Precast a Lava Burst into a Flame Shock before a pull is crucial to buff your Acid Rain. If you take Crushing Wave, you may also consume a healing tide buff to get the 20% cast speed for the Rain, then the rotation that the video teaches you.

@@ZucoWoW I couldn't recall the exact hps (I wiped the details board lol), but it sits around 33~35K, my tank friend (a warrior) does an excellent job so I don't need to worry about him. Because the tank is the only malee, I dropped earthen wall for other talents. The Top 3 abilities are: Riptide> Healing Stream Totem > Healing Surge> Healing Rain.

But as an afterword, I would try earthen wall next time even with 3 ranged DPS. Shaman is lack of damage absorption and flat damage reduction for the team which EWT helps a lot.
