Yeah it was good to see that they acknowledged past Exynos' throttling and battery issues. I've a feeling 2100 will deliver if not surpass SD 888. Next year's Galaxy 22 with Exynos and AMD RDNA 2 GPU will blow past whatever SD offers!

@@fantasytky28 because there wasn’t this much of a gab! You might not remember sd810-820-821 ! Those chips sucked. Exynos 7420 on s6 was way better than its competitor sd810. If u remember that year Samsung didn’t even made sd version and LG used sd808 on G4 because of sd810 thermal and power efficiency problems. And sd820 on galaxy s7 was even weaker than exynos7420 galaxy s6 and you were lucky if you were getting exynos8890 galaxy s7. Go check out some videos. And after 2015-2016 in 2017 when samsung released galaxy s8 with sd835/exynos8895 those chips were pretty much on par and there wasn’t any noticeable difference even in benchmarks. In 2018 sd845 on galaxy s9 performed a little better than exynos 9810. Like i said sd845 performed a little better but gab was so small that almost nobody mentioned it because it was so small. In galaxy s10 this gab got bigger and bloggers started to mention that exynos9820 isn’t on par with sd855 version. This gab vas more obvious and everyone mentioned it but still people were ok with their exynos devices. But in 2020 gab got much bigger. Not in performance but in thermal conditions a little bit of power efficiency. Sd865 and exynos990 in performance didn’t have an annoying difference. But exynos990 was hot and that was a real issue. People was mad especially because s20 devices were much more expensive than s10 lineup. Like when u spend 1399$ on your s20 ultra but sb in us spends same amount of money and gets better performance. So Samsung realized and it seems they fixed it. They should’ve done it sooner i agree. But it’s better than apple who have no respect for consumers. Like iphone 12 came without any charger and headphones but in higher price! And it still has big notch. It’s just an iphone 11 with boxy design! But look at the prices of s20 and s21 lineup. S20 999$ - S21 799$ S20+ 1099$ - S21+ 999$ S20 Ultra 1399$ - S21 Ultra 1199$ So you see. They removed charger and headphones and I totally disagree with that. But at least they reduced the cost noticeably. And they really upgraded phones not like apple who didn’t even upgrade 12pro compare to 11pro that much. If you’re an apple fanboy I’m sorry but I’m no fanboy I’m just telling the truth.

cpu is clearly for the exynos but I think the snapdragon will catch up in the gpu department and maybe it will not be enough for taking the win 🤔

But i have not found any game struggling in my phones .May be you are right and there are some games which runs better in particular processor. But i do lot of emulation and here is the problem of exynos processor. I dono why they seem yo struggle more

@@apathak34 Actually the multicore performance of the exynos 2100 it's the same as the a14. The problem with the new exynos is the low performance of the GPU (must use 24 mali g78 cores to have similar performance and power consumption as the adreno 660) and also the big power consumption (5nm from Samsung gives the same performance/power consumption as the 7nm from TSMC, 7nm+ technology from TSMC it's better not to mention what 5nm from TSMC can do...)

And ray-tracing uses a massive amount of power on PC and thus reduces FPS significantly. Combine this with the thermal constraints on phones and there's less than a 1% chance proper ray tracing will be implemented in S22.

U should buy a new phone now if u don't want an battery explosion. Using a phone 4 yrs straight will wear the battery off by a lot.

@@djp3637 Huawei has terrible gpu performance even among mali gpu users. Mediatek currently has the best performance with a mali gpu and gary still hasn't managed to get one for speed test G.I really hope he gets those new mediatek chip equipped phones.

@@djp3637 I think they can get there 🤞. The exynos 990 took 48 seconds to complete the GPU test. If the MP14 configuration is 40% faster then that would put them just under 30 seconds.

Oh wow, I have an S20 FE with a Qualcomm chip and the battery life is really good. Never hot either. Wasn't aware Exynos was that bad.

Not really surprising. They announced their partnership with AMD in June 2019. Not just changing GPU providers but switching to AMD who hasn't put their graphics tech in something like a phone since they sold off the team that now make the adreno GPUs, is a major task. Not surprising its not this gen. But at least samsung confirmed it will be the gen after this
