Leaf blowers are fine and there's plenty of well established detailers who use them. They're also far more convenient to use than a corded dedicated dryer.

Yes, I have used an Ego for years and I don't use it to blow weeds or anything other than drying the car.

Quickest way I know is to use the leaf blower. A few drops of 0 PPM water shouldn’t matter plus you can do a quick wipe down of most of that if you want to.

Ego blowers are just fine. The air is not filtered when you are driving 80mph.

I’d much prefer to use a dedicated tool for the job that’s heated, filtered, with a small nozzle.

Yep. There is zero way you're getting any marring with an Ego blower unless you are drying your car in a sandstorm.

@@OutofSpecDetailing Why would you want heated air? That's literally going to promote drying which causes water spots?? The filter in Big Boi and Blow dryers is mesh, it isn't filtering anything meaningful...

I use a vacuum cleaner connected to the exhaust with a reduction at the tip and works perfectly fine. The air is a bit warm which helps to dry the water.

Well Kyle, I like and have adopted a lot of your techniques. This won't be one of them. Car dried beautifully but there is just so much trapped water in my car's cracks and crevices that literally every panel was covered with a thin film of smeared water when I was done blowing it out. No matter how hard I tried to contain the "blowout" it simply got everywhere requiring me to re-do the entire car with waterless wash. A waste of time and product. Will go back to blowing the car off while fully wet and then toweling it off with drying aid or waterless wash.

Use a silicone car squeegee on all the glass surfaces to help keep the towels dry.

do you feel a matte wrap shows less or more dirt, spots etc than a gloss wrap? is one easier to maintain than the other? car wont be garage kept... thank you

One of my cars has 20 years old original paint , always washed it myself without any technique and the paint still looks like new … Use your car live your life and preserve the paint by keeping it in a garage and without abrasive solutions

How do you clean your exterior glass and interior? No matter what I use or what microfiber rags I use there's always smudges and I haven't been able to see my glass as clean as it was in the 1st day I owned my Tesla :(

How about this, as somebody name Yvan say blower push water off panels but can leave contaminants behind where towels do not and I understand you have CR spotless, but the majority of people don’t. Thoughts???

So much is dependent on the quality of the finish before you wash and dry. If its been kept up to date to bead water easily, the wash and dry will be easy too. Il use bead it up after three of four washes, IE a wash every two week or so. But I will wait tll the car is spotlessly clean before reapplying it. This maximizes the protection and completely keeps the good drying towel out of the picture and not picking up any protectant. Just my two cents. I do have a dedicated car air blower and it has a squeegee air attachment to do a far better job of getting all the water off.
