Yep, the whole plot is a series of idiot plots where talking it out would solve so much, but it’s one of those movies that does idiot plots well. Talking things out isn’t something these characters would do. Also, never thought Thomas the Tank Engine would become one of my favorite parts of an action movie.

I loved it when James May showed up near the end of the movie, truly our man in Japan

I know it's not the worlds best movie but I will never understand the low reviews for it. It's: Funny Good actions Funny plot Interesting characters Interesting setting Nice amount of blood/ brutalness and great action. Nice writing in the way that points or themes keep on going throughout the film "diesel."

So, something to consider. Thus is a movie with a different lead actor in mind. The reason for it working as well as it does, is that you took a legitimate powerhouse of an actor in Pitt, and place him into a comedic role of that other leading man. Gave him the support actors of that other leading man, gave him the story for that other leading man, and built the story to follow a "What if the leading man we wrote this for couldn't make it to our movie?" Pitt has done a range of characters over his career, from romance to drama, action to comedy, and more nuance than should be allowed. By placing him into this role and taking the supporting cast and friends of the other actor, it allows for a level of depth in the story that we haven't had from our action comedies in recent years. Add in the other subplots and the creative use of scenery and props as you pointed out and you get the type of work we haven't seen since likely the nineties. Anyway, great job and keep going.

I really need to watch this movie again. It's one of my favorite movies that came out that year
