The way a lot of commentators are wording it, "He shouldn't have settled with Cassie" makes them sound sympathetic to Diddy's "plight,", like "Aww damn, poor guy, if only he'd not done that." It's a strange way to talk about the situation. Clearly Diddy has been engaged in crimes for many years, and it would make more sense to frame the Cassie thing like "Thank goodness she had the balls to expose the guy, and thank goodness he settled with her so fast, because now the darkness can come into the light and Diddy can face the consequences."
