the combination of dramatic music, beautiful cinematography, the low rumble of trent's voice, the pacing and deliberate use of slow motion shots, the ridiculous looping of joel and dylan getting fuckin shot into orbit, the sadness of that one friend's dog sniffing around his body.. specifically the last bit when dylan realizes what's happening and trent just gives him the most deadpan stare i've ever seen. this is the video of all time

Honestly, the part with the bodies at the bottom and Dylan's slow realization as Trent approaches from behind is actually a fantastic shot, especially with the editing and the flashbacks, made me think of something like Dead Man's Shoes.

Seeing 8 years of film making being discovered and shared by thousands of people (well millions of people in some cases) is a really unique and touching experience. I've been binge-watching through the backlog the last few days with slowly working through all the feature films being next on my list and it's really awesome to have so much left to see. Joel, the grit and genuine determination you've shown over the years is crazy and I can only imagine that it all paying off in such a monumental fashion is... well fucking scary as shit. Just keep doing what you're doing, don't overthink stuff and step back to self reflect often. Finally, if you do read this, or god forbid reply to it, you're doing too much my man.
