I always throw the sentence “The gender pay gap is a myth” in conversations with women.

Joel wakes up, stretches his arms, and thinks, "I'm gonna make a movie today." He adjusts the belt of his velvet bathrobe and saunters over to his "tickle trunk" - a vaudevillian cornucopia of costumes, wigs, and accessories gathered over years of filmmaking. With a practiced gesture, Joel casually flicks the latch open and kicks the corner of the trunk. The lid of the trunk sighs and groans as it slowly opens. Sunlight streams in from a window, motes of dust dancing in the light. On top of a pile of old clothes, bathed in that light, sits a single fedora. Fedora. Two thoughts leap into Joel's mind, unannounced. Neither of them is 'Indiana Jones'. He's ready.

I'm both amused by and a bit annoyed at the idea of Creep as an incel anthem.

It was karaoke night at a bar I used to frequent that specialized in karaoke, back when karaoke could still happen. Someone put on "Creep" by Radiohead and the whole place was electrified as seemingly everyone there knew the words and started to sing along. The whole bar was filled with easily 30-50 tipsy people belting out "I'm a creep! I'm a weirdo! What the hell am I doing here? I don't belong here!" They were about as in sync as such a group can be. That moment was the single purest demonstration of irony that I've witnessed in my life.
