Dennis Prager is pretty upfront about this. He said on Tim Pool’s Podcast that he only tries to convince people of the need for a god - not of god’s existence itself. In other words, he relies on people’s fear to do the dirty work for him. Ultimately, they’re all just parroting Nietzsche’s ideas here - a man who may have been correct in his analysis of the is, but dead wrong in pretty much all of his proposed solutions (oughts). I’ve come to not only call Nietzsche the proto-fascist (a term I’ve heard another debater use recently, too, independently from myself), but also as the Karl Marx of the far-right. And if you think that should be Ayn Rand, I doubt there would have been an Ayn Rand without a Nietzsche.

I used to think this also. Unfortunately the truth is our bodies are flooded with hormones after orgasming that affect us literally more than we know. Oxytocin levels peak during masturbation. Oxytocin also makes you bond with someone. What happens if no one is there, or if you're staring at strangers having sex? Do we bond with ourselves making us more narcissistic, or do we bond with the people we're watching, making us less likely to look for an actual mate? I think these are important questions, but it definitely isn't the same a normal exercise lol.

It used to be medical consensus to bottle feed your children before science understood the role of beneficial bacteria, now the medical consensus is to breast feed lol. Science is progressive, not definitive. Where does science explain what happens when oxytocin and prolactin surge post orgasm consequent to masturbation vs actual sex? That literature doesn't exist afaik. It's more of an open question at this point. Please enlighten me if I'm wrong here. At least anecdotally, I can tell you not masturbating for a few weeks or even months and only engaging in real sex has a drastic effect on my personality in the positive direction.

God gave humans free will. God doesn't control your thoughts. You are free to think. Although humans have proclivities towards certain things, you're still free whether to give in to those urges or fight against them. And fight against them means acing the test given to us by God. This is a question that should be posed for atheists who believe every human behaviour boils down to a bunch of neurons interacting with each other. If one is already predisposed, then why bother making a change at all? Atheists believe in determinism not theists.
