Sometimes you need to JUST STOP. I exited and took a hike with my sister to an incredibly beautiful place in these Appalachian Blue Ridge Mountains. Nature is just SO beautiful in the spring. We hike to a waterfall, eat wild edibles and cross many rushing streams. Upon my return home I placed some willow cuttings for rooting and set a whole CASE of rat traps around our farm only to discover more natural farm beauty upon my return home to the homestead pastures... I also share the richness of spring with the cows, bull and steer by hand feeding the grass. (Filmed and edited on iPhone. You really don't need a camera or computer to capture stories from your life.)

Beautiful sharing from a beautiful family, thank you🤗❤️🇨🇦 Many blessings to you all, including your beautiful sister. I’m a grandma that lives an hour away from the Rocky Mountain range in the town of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. We get frozen waterfalls in the mountains. Wow, a dark burgundy trillium. That is our provincial flower in Ontario; in the spring the woods are filled mostly with white ones, and a few pink/blush ones, but I've never seen a dark burgundy one -- very cool; very beautiful.

Avoid planting willow near septic tank, drain field or water lines. These water seeking roots will infiltrate and totally clog them. The roots can travel a crazy distance.
@carolynchadwick7867
@carolynchadwick7867 3 роки тому
W O - I can vouch for that! Their roots especially seek any water source. More trees will sprout from them, to make a willow thicket. In Eastern NC during midsummer when I was 10, I had a 3 foot weeping willow twig the diameter of my little finger that I got at my Aunt's farm. After playing with it for days, I staked my "territory claim flag" (the then-bare twig) about 30 feet from the intersection of two small ditches. By the time I was 20, it had become a huge beautiful tree; with many tall saplings totally clogging both ditches. Dad had to hire professionals to excavate the ditches, clear, & remove the overgrowth.
