Hello, this is a not so brief comparison of karaoke in all of the sims PC games. I was actually thinking this could be a short comparing just 1 song but then I realized 20 seconds of each was way too little time, but making this video I had to cut the songs so this wouldn't be like a full hour of sims singing. And btw, I've been with these songs stuck for the past few weeks so sometimes I'd be doing the dishes and be like "waaaboo nee" lol, either I gotta give them credit for making them catchy or I've just been hearing them way too much, probably that last one.
Anyways, what are your thoughts on karaoke? To me it was nice hearing them all cause it was something I never minded, I never maxed it out nor checked all the songs in any of the games because it was one thing I made them do on dates or something, I never head them all so it's nice seeing how songs like "funky sims" were kept
Sims 1 is great. It had a good variety of songs, unique performances for each (as simplified as those seem today) and sims picked every genre regardless of skill. I love the big difference in good vs bad singing in all of the games. And btw, there's also mid skill in all of the games but the difference isn't as striking so I skipped it, but in the Sims 1 they have yet another performance for mid level.
Sims 2 is pretty good too, it has lots of songs and it introduced duets, I loved the songs in here the most, their performances were good but I can't deny I was a little disappointed to see they'd just play random animations at all times. The melody would be just starting and they'd be singing their hearts out lol
Sims 3 is the most disappointing if you ask me, they just followed Sims 2 and called it a day but they have less songs, there's nothing that visually separates unskilled from skilled singers and I have no idea what the synthesizer does (I'm sure some of you know so please let me know) the one thing they did was allow kids to sing in duets but that's about it.
Sims 4 was surprisingly great, they had lots of songs, they kinda had routines, their singing was good, they added cool upgrades to the karaoke machine, what's not to like?
So, if you ask me, it's a tie between all of the games with sims 3 being left out lol but that's just my opinion, let me know yours and I'll see you on the nest one! I may finally compare hamsters next.
