I own the Sennheiser CX and you can just stop wasting your time watching reviews like this because I am completely impressed in every department, and the crazy thing: they are totally affordable the CX check every box possible including having passive noise cancellation enough to not need ANC

@@stevemuzak8526 I actually find transparency more useful than ANC 😂 like , if an earbud doesn't cancel enough noise, you ain't getting the right seal. My super budget Fiil T1 lite with spinfitcp360 almost completely blocks out noise from its passive cancelation I couldn't hear my environment if I'm playing music. I'd shoot for the CX 👌 brand and quality wise. But I'm interested in Liberty 3 pro, just for the experience tho..

Exactly why I do these. I too work from home, dogs, door bells, kids crying. Thats the new office noise. How many times o you recall someone apologizing because of these noises. I hear it all the time.

I have the CX plus. They sound amazing. The only problem is the callers on the other end have a problem hearing me in a windy environment. So I have to travel with the windows up while talking

@@ebpman I purchased the nothing ear 1 based on additional feature set and was tossing up between them and the CX. After watching this review I have slight buyers remorse 😂. Still waiting for the ear 1s, but the Sennies have truly epic sound.

I have the CX 400BT TW earbuds which I absolutely love. I use to think not having ANC or ambient mode would be an issue but it isn't at all. The question then becomes whether upgrading to the CX True Wireless from the 400BT is worth it. I know that the CX TW has the same 7mm transducer as the 400BT and based on other reviews, the sound signature is pretty much the same. Otherwise, you are getting a longer battery life, BT 5.2 - which should offer a more stable connection among other things and a slightly different touch sensor design. Either way, the sound quality is just world-class for this kind of device. Can't speak for the XM4 because I've never listened to them before but it's probably more for those who value tech features more than anything else. And yes, I will be upgrading to the new CX simply because I want to. Nuff said.

From my humble research, the CX400 has clearer mics for phone calls while the CX, single earbud can be used independently…. Other than that, they seem to be similar in all other departments.

These true wireless earbuds this year are all rock&roll ! It is very hard to buy one model and be dissatisfied. Btw I got the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro and I think I'm finally super satisfied... but I would like to try out the Sony's or Senheiser 's earbuds too !

Thanks for the review, before that I couldn’t decide between this Sennheiser or the Sony…. I don’t like the sound quality of the Sony, the bass sounds overloaded. I’m a fan of metallic music so I’m concerned with both bass and treble. Sony’s bass doesn’t have the punch to it. Also the vocals sounds like it’s on stage with reverb and echoes. Sennheiser have better sound quality. But ANC wins, Sony outperform in noisy environments and and the mic is clearer. But then again the Sennheiser and cheaper. I think the Momentum Two are outdated, Sennheiser need a MTW version 2 with all the goodies you have on the original MTW with ANC, and also all the single bud usage from CXTW. I’m already have a wireless earbuds from Creative and didn’t want to upgrade to Sony as the sound quality isn’t what I’m looking for. The CXTW is excellent! But the mic quality is not that top notch. Since I already have an earbuds, maybe I’ll wait out another few years for Sennheiser to come out with a MTW version 2, and that few hundred bucks for the upgrades with be worth it. Thanks for your review EPBMan! Your videos help me to save a lot of trouble! :)

This Senn CX TWS 2021 is actually perfect! If you are that person who is not contented and always look for new releases, better upgrade and have extra bucks, then go with higher versions, but for me, I am contented 😊

What about the Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos? Hows the Dolby Atmos sound quality on sennheiser 400BT, & Why does noone talk about the High Resolution audio support on Sony, they are the only one in this price range with HI-Fi Audio Also anyone please tell me how is the BASS in 400BT since sennheisers are known for less bass and bad for EDM

In the first song, the Sennheisers reveal much more vocal reverb overall; it's almost a wash masking the vocal, sounding closer to the listener than the vocal itself; the Sonys reveal less reverb and what there is is mostly behind and around the vocal, with only a little in front of the vocal on the sound stage. I much prefer the sound of the Sonys in this case, but the speakers in my home setup must also have an impact on what I hear.

I also prefer the Sonys when it comes to that track, because the vocal reverb sounds more consistent with the overall room sound of that guitar. On the Sennheisers it almost sounds jarring because the guitar sounds very dry in comparison, or maybe it's that the vocals seem very centered compared to the Sony's. It's difficult to put a finger on it, but the Sennheisers sound good here too. I think on the electronic track I definitely prefer the Sennheiser.

I have both (+85T) and Jabra is horrible in noise, but CX passed the mom and work tests in coffeeshops!

Man those Senheiser's truly sound great !! I thought they were much fuller sounding and crisper than the Sony's. I thought the call quality was also a bit cleaner., not to mention the Senheiser CX's are about $130.00 cheaper than the Sony's if you can live without some those Sony features. Great sound earbuds for the price !!

I felt like Sens have much better sound quality.. Sony felt like there was a lot boosted treble and when the vocals came out.. Where was it.. Was so clear on the the Sens and felt like the Sony was disappointing... At less than half the price its a no brainer! Bought a CX400 BT recently.. As soon as I saw your review returned it and pre-ordered this one.. Didn't even think about Sony's.. I just need good sound bone conducting or not.. As far as noise cancelling Sens do have really good passive noise cancellation from my experience.. So dont think will need the active stuff. They could have included wireless charging though.. My $30 Tozo T10s have wireless charging and really good sound.. Its a bang for the buck.. But nothing beats Sennheiser in sound quality!

Holy Shit - the Sonys may have the far superior features but in the sound department they lose hands down. Bought the CX and WOW. I dont need ANC. The CX are made for high quality sound and good mic sound (the essential tw features 😁). The best part is (was this mentioned in this - awesome!!! - comparison?) that the CX stomp the Sonys in Sound quality for half the price 👍

Please tell me if you still would recommend them after purchasing? Also, how comfortable is the fit? I need earbuds to sleep with. I suffer with insomnia and need music to relax me. I’ve tried more earbuds than I’d like to admit. Just recently returned my AirPods Pro as they began to lose pairing after just shy of a month of use. At first I thought I had found the best buds for my usage.

I’ve tried Sony’s WF1000xm3’s, the Sony’s 800 something, AirPods Pro, Skullcandy’s ANC, Jabra Elites 75T, Bose Earbuds…and list goes on. I just got them today. I paid for Overnight Shipping as I was excited to try them.I have no regrets. Also, they are super comfortable and surprisingly I can lay down with them if I lay just at the right position. @@jayc8234 Momentum 2's are basically the CX's with ANC. That's reflected on the price as well, with both the XM4 and MTW2 being around the same price. Some people need ANC and guess what, they have to fork out the same amount of money for either Sony or Sennheiser anyway.

The Sony did not sound good when playing the song. I am confused because I have the Sony and the song in real life sounds great. Could it be my speakers on the cell? Any way, I like the Sony because I own them and think they are worth the spend and are great. When close, I lean towards battery life.

@@alexunlv I'm being completely 💯. I challenge you to go and check out all the head to head reviews of the sonys and MTW 2S and see who the majority of reviewers prefer SOUND WISE. I've listened to them both plus listened to them head to head on reviews like this one...the sonys arent bad sounding but the MTW 2 just sound much better so much better that I bought the MTW 2S

The call quality on the CX is abysmal. I think it's funny how they sound worse than the Sony, an earbud that is known for not having especially great call quality either... I wish that they would work a little bit harder on getting the mic right on earbuds even if it's not the most important aspect.

@@ebpman Yeah, and I mean it's a fair priority in my book because I talk way less on the phone compared to how much I listen to music, but at the same time if I do get a call when i'm out and about I want to be able to take a call I obviously shouldn't have to remove my earbuds so the person on the other side can hear me properly which has absolutely happened with plenty of different earbuds that were priced anywhere from $40 to $350, so... yeah.

Listening on my Sennheiser HD 800's I like the bassier sound the CX's sound, however the Sony's sound a bit cleaner. For the price of the CX, they sound great!

I hear you. The context your missing is the my comparisons are not selected by me. I place a survey on what my subscribers and views what tested and that's what gets compared. even if their is a massive price difference.
