Facing the struggles of trying to legally live off the grid can be extremely challenging. Is it legal to live off the grid? Can I build my own log cabin and be self sufficient and self reliant? Will building codes and zoning laws stop my off grid lifestyle from becoming a reality? Building in general is a nightmare, but when you take your build off the grid, big or small, it can create a new world of problems. What is my advice to all the fellow and future off grid seekers? Do your homework and just do it! It is never to early to start pursuing your dream. Even if you are not yet in a position to break ground it is never to early to start researching all of the different aspects that go into a more self sufficient life style. But, even if progress is slow, any progress is better then just day dreaming. You will get there if you just know where to start! You can do it too! You just have to start!
