RTX 50, RDNA 4, Battlemage, & Zen 5 Release Dates
According to leaks and rumors Nvidia will be releasing the RTX 5090 and possibly the RTX 5080 by the end of this year. Not only that, but AMD should be revealing their new RX 8000 RDNA 4 GPUs such as the RX 8800 XT and RX 8700 XT. Plus now Intel will be launching their Battlemage GPUs including likely the Arc B980 and Arc B970. Finally we will also be seeing new CPUs from AMD and Intel such as the Zen 5 Ryzen 9000 9950X, 9900X, 9800X, and 9600X along side Intel's Arrow Lake Core Ultra CPUs.

I think 2.4x the performance in anything is inflated. Maybe close to it in certain benchmarks optimized for what they are doing with the GPU but all else it will be the normal 2% to 5% uplift for games and 10% to 30% uplift for GPU compute

Then you think wrong. Because i'll be happy with an first hand overpriced GPU if it divide my current AI workloads by 4 (from 3090) while loading bigger more powerful models in a bigger VRAM pull. Time have more value than money to me. I'm am the type of consumer they created spending thousand for ease of use. But as a gaming device, it's sure is sad to see the crippling low VRAM and 10% boost in performance at the affordable range.

The processing power potential is sweet. Depending on whether you are using HDMI or DisplayPort, and the quality of your monitor - these next gen GPUs on the top end look to be way overpowered for the gaming market. I think their price point will reflect that.

Treat yo self. Also efficiency is improved with the N4P node. Seems ridiculous to upgrade to Zen 4 at that rate.

The only price to performance matrix Nvida likes is how much more they can charge for a gpu for as little performance increase as they can get away with! Nvidia RX5090 could be 2.5 times faster in some things if they wack a shed load of extra power into there melty 12v cables and limited new DLSS improvements to RX50 cards! Sound familiar?

I wouldn't bet too much on that if AMD release around that time. Gaming and AI are on the same Blackwell architecture this time around (unlike Ada/Hopper). So priority there is but there is not a Big Gap in R&D.

AMD will seriously suffer on GPU market this time around. So far it looks like they have no chance to get recognition for performance and in pricing they will not only compete with their own 7000 series but also with Intel's Battlemage. And Intel is desperate to get a foothold in GPU market so their prices will most likely be very very good.

I tried AMD but I ended up switching to Nvidia for this past gen of GPUs. AMD completely dropped the ball at launch. Dies cracking, GPU utility issues, list goes on. Connectors melting on 4090s can't be ignored either, though. Hopefully AMD doesn't drop the ball at release this time, and they will have a better market share.

Despite the weighings, I always had a tendency to consume AMD GPUS precisely for $, with the beginning of the RDNA2 I saw a north when the top lines came out. , now people are looking more carefully to AMD both in CPU and GPU. Today in my bench I have 2 RDN2 RX6700XT and RX6650XT and if you allow the year I will have my upgrad for the RX7900XTX. Great Video Brother!

i think the 5090 wil likely only get 1.25-.1.35X performance over the 4090 in raw perf... and nivida will claim 2-2.5X going off dlss 4.0 and FG2.0 perfrmance. but it will cost 1.8x WHAT THE 4090 does.

Every mainstream gaming GPU takes away silicon that could go towards an AI gpu. so nivida is gonna make up for it as much as they can. that you can be gauranteed on. i0t is likely the largest factor in what fueled the massive price hiking of the 4000 series. sure scalpers showed nviida fools are willing to part with more money , but the greed for them to actually charge more money didn't strike until after they started producing AI chips.

Im going to pick up a 5950x, passing on the 7950x3D for now. Im hearing there is ish with overheating and cpu scheduling. 5950x is sub $400 and falling. Ryzen 9000 is around the corner and 7950x3D should get more stable and drop in price.

They won't exist. What's the point? AMD can't match a 4090 without increasing the TDP of their GPUs to 600W and increasing the clock speeds to 3.5 GHz

intel gpu had 2x the silicon for the same performance.. if they can get battlemage to close to 4070. then we could already have cards from AMD thats 2X performance of 4070 for a reasonable price.. there is NO way battlemage come close to 4080

Battlemage expected to compete with 4070 ti for 400-450$, let's just hope that is actually true so that amd and nvidia can stop screwing around with high ass GPU prices.

I am excited for whatever brings the highest performance for the value, at 4k, i don't care if its AMD of Nvidia, i am tired of being sold overpriced crap, until the next series i am sticking with my 1070, it has served me well this far.

This upcoming generation will likely be the worst one yet none of them have any reason to produce a good product especially since neither AMD or Intel will have a high end GPU which means Nvidia will likely only need to do the absolute minimum this time around sure the RTX 5090 will perform as needed but only if you have 2000$ or more to give em but anything else below that will likely be just a 10% uplift over last gen.

Battlemage 1 year late to compete with 40 series. Why would anyone bother? Just get the 4080 now as the 50 series will be a jump in price and performance that yesteryear Battlemage can't challenge. Battlemage will be DOA.

The thing is, a 4080 is still $900-1000, a 5070 (probably around the same performance) will be around $800 and not out until well into next year. If Battlemage is decent then we could be looking at similar performance for under $500. I'm pretty sure Intel will f it up in some way but I think it's worth waiting just to see if they don't.

No one cares about intel , I read that the market share is like 3% or something anyway. Only good thing I like about intel related stuff is the Xess upscaling which looks better then fsr but it gives you way less frames then fsr other then that intel B GPUs are dead on arrival If they can't complete with the 40/50 series. Just look at the a770, struggles against 3060/4060 it's getting stupid with Intel
