I saw a video couple of days ago with a young Russian soldier being questioned by a Ukrainian soldier. He was answering basic questions about his unit, when he came into Ukraine, and where he came from. When they asked him if he knows his parents phone number he said he doesnt have one. The only person he has left in this world was his grandmother to which he broke down because he realized there is no way he could contact her. Mind you, he is a conscript being sent into Ukraine.

I am Australian but you also need to understand their position too, if for example you need to surrender as a soldier and you have other in board who are in the same Paige with you then it becomes easier to do so but if not then you can't do that it they could rebelled you as an enemy within. The russians bombed the hospitals etc because the ukranian military used those very same civilian buildings as bases which makes them military targets by definition. You could say the ukranian military are hiding behind civilians but that might be a stretch. TLDR; the russians had a reason. Legitimate military target.

According to the Geneva conversation parading POWs and asking/making them to make statements exposing their identities is against international law .. I don’t knew what the ramifications are for this but it’s wrong .. kindness and humility happens when no one is watching .. as much as feel for the Ukrainian people they are not exempt from following the international laws.. if they are saying Putin is a terrorist that is cranking international laws then they themselves need to abide by those laws .. it’s not a good look and makes me question everything

@@christiana1223 I get what you're saying but I do think that this is a special case where the people in Russia are not getting the correct news and having real people from the war with their identities (for relatives/friends at home to recognise) is the strongest way to bring back the message to Russia and spark a change in the people. If it breaks the international law as you said, I would say so be it. The effect of doing it is overall positive.

Half of the POW interviews i've seen, the interviewees look severely beaten. Hell 3/5 people in this video look like they've had their faces bashed in. "Treating your captives well and with respect", Ukrainian forces already put videos out on social media saying that they wouldn't take Artillery men as prisoners and that they would make them suffer. You're only seeing what western media/Ukraine want you to see, God only knows how many surrendered Russians have been executed in cold blood away from the cameras. This is a war of information, everything you see is what you're allowed to see. Any dissenting opinions/evidence contrary to the current narrative has essentially been banned in the west. I support Ukraine defending it's country, but don't be disillusioned into thinking that they're some holy fighting force that aren't committing their own evils.
