Incredible all the way through. The purposeful rapping of the door to trigger the henchman to clip the player? Genius.

Just as an FYI, the mob boss npc asks for you to find "Vinny Two-Squeaks" but will accept 'Jimmy Two-Squeaks' as well. It's probably a bug but until it's patched this is the faster route as you can collect Jimmy on the way to the vault before meeting the mob boss. I've been able to replicate this several times fairly consistently.

I love how every time the colorless NPC gets interrupted by speedrunner being fast, it briefly gains enough sentience and consciousness to open it's mouth and put a "holy 💩" look on it's face right before the next line of dialog kicks in.

I love the cut as the boss looks wide-eyed and then goes back to talking like normal

Using the Don's surprised facial expression to the speedrunner's accomplishments and then carrying over that same look of surprise when the Don gets shot was genius.

I just love how he used the door opening animation to clip through the wall and skip the 'boss is dead' custscene and subsequent fight to just come back and kill the last guy while he is distracted. Beautiful all the way.

I love that it's like the ai gains sentience for a split second by how shocked they are. Then the scripting kicks in.

Just imagine, next time you see someone doing some crazy Florida Man stuff that makes no sense at all, maybe you're just an NPC watching a player trying to break the physics and clip through reality for a speed run.

As actual NPCs, can confirm this is completely true.

This was the first Haver-style video I ever saw (before I saw any from Joel) and IMO it's S-tier. The acting and writing are pure excellence.

The voices are probably my second favorite part right behind the actual lines and timing. Such quality voice acting!! I can't get enough of this video. I've been watching it every day for weeks

Edit: I honestly didn’t expect this comment to get the attention that it did. But to anyone who weirdly managed to see it now (4 months from original posting), yes I do know that this is just a form of rotoscoping and it’s been done before. But besides this creators work being wholly original and amazing on its own, what I mean is the general themes, dialogue, humor, and context are admittedly and beautifully inspired by Joel Haver’s work and I’m sure by the work of many others who also inspired Joel Haver himself.
