“My story focuses on how children are treated after they have lost their parents and what poverty does to children. I use my own experience, having lost my mother, to narrate the story and discuss what happens when parents cannot provide for their children’s needs. I also share my perspective and a hearty encouragement for young women who might go through similar struggles as a way to encourage and motivate them that all is not lost.
I’m telling this story because I want to create an impact in passing on a message of perseverance, endurance and relentlessness and hope in the lives of young girls in our country and beyond.”
