I wasn't expecting mine to get read first 😭 I can provide an update: Still have issues with the locked door, the electricity bill went up $20 per person this month since the thermostat keeps getting set to 84 or higher (when I came home tonight it was set to 90...), and mind you I don't even live in that cold of a place. I at least have my own room/bathroom that I keep clean, but at this point it's just surviving till I move out since I know who I'll be with next year 🙏

“I have so little tolerance for any discomfort at work.” Yaasss!! This! You don’t deserve disrespect or exploitation. I like you prioritizing your well-being. Some of my generation (I’m old enough to be your mom) might be puzzled by this attitude but I totally agree. We spend so much time at work and if we’re showing up, are being respectful to clients and coworkers and doing our job we don’t deserve any grief. If we get it we should stand up for ourselves and then move on if the company doesn’t try to improve the situation.

As an HR professional, I’m highly alarmed with story #2. First, being trans is a protected class. Targeting a trans employee and letting others bully them is against the law. Please report them to the EEOC. Not paying people for work completed is also against the law as per the Department of Labor. Of course, if it is termed as part of the curriculum, that is a grey area. It’s still pretty shitty though.

I had a horrible roommate my freshmen year who let a dude sleep HALF NAKED in her bed...not a fun sight. Or how she would leave the door WIDE OPEN when noone else was in the room. Suffice to say, I moved out. Roommate #2 was a nutball too. Roommate #3 was normal. I had another roommate during one of my senior years who was a slob...I got in a fight with her and left her on her own, this roommate NEVER showered (except maybe once a month) and never washed her sheets.

Loved your beautiful mandala! I worked at a pizza place for a few months and the owner/manger was a freaking asshole to me and I asked him a question about how many Pepperoni's were supposed to go on a new pizza I had never made- he said"that's another thing we don't tolerate here, stupid questions and the people who ask them". I said "f you I'm gone" threw my hat on the ground and walked out. I told him I expect my last check within the next 48 hours and walked out. I did not deserve the verbal abuse I put up with there for those few months
