I'm a Swiftie and toxic Swifties annoy me. We're all crazy and dedicated to Taylor, but toxic Swifties are on a whole other LEVEL

People who talk on the phone and ignore me when im checking them out as a cashier! Thats a big major one for me!

I'm disabled so there may not be many people who get this, but I use a mobility scooter when I go food shopping and there are 3* pet peeves related: 1. People forgetting to plug their scooter in when they're done to recharge for the next person, I've had them die on me a few times in the middle of the store, in aisles, blocking other shoppers. 2. While I'm shopping, able-bodied people leave their own damned shopping carts where the mobility scooters go so I have to block traffic to move the carts so I can put my scooter away (and plug it in, mind you!!!). Which is a challenge in and of itself since walking is hard for me. 3. While shopping, people hurry past me and cut me off. The mobility scooter is slow, I get it, but let me say you can go ahead or figure out where I'm going before cutting me off. There are nice people, and I try to get out of people's way bc I'm self aware, but hot damn if those people who just speed around me don't just piss me tf off.

Being rude to servers or cashiers would be my #1. I have done both jobs. I know how hard the jobs are and that is nothing more upsetting than to see someone treating a waitress or waiter badly just because they feel they are entitled. I want to make them pay their bill by working in a restaurant as a server for the day.

Taking up multiple parking spots or parking your car like you're the only person that is in the lot

as an ice hockey fan I have gotten psyched out so many times hearing people talking about Stanley cups. before I knew about the trend I thought my favorite sport was gaining popularity out of nowhere and I was so underwhelmed when I found out what people were actually talking about 😂

Mine may be minor but I hate it when people snatch stuff off my desk without asking. This began back in grade school and whenever someone does that I tell them to give it back, they be like "Wait lemme see it" bro...what also really bothers me is when people move or touch my stuff because I would automatically think that someone is trying to steal my stuff so I'm somewhat overprotective of my belongings

My husband SHOVELS food into his mouth. I often have to say "Are you in a hurry??" 😂

Number one on my list is performative activism. Some people only care when the cameras are on. Do things because you are passionate about the cause, not because of PR. Standing close to me/riding my bumper is number 2. If I can feel someone breathing on me in line, I will turn around and stare at them without saying a word. Usually, they back up when I do this.

I like when there's some space between me and the car in front of me in traffic bc of anxiety. The reason traffic exists has nothing to do with space between cars, it's car density and cars cutting off other cars to get in faster lanes, forcing cars behind them to slow down. If people literally stayed in their lane traffic would go faster.

Chewing the mouth open, letting food fall out. I had an office-mate who did this. Fried chicken?

Okay, normally I don't respond but leaving gaps btwn cars is important. I learned why the other day...was sitting at a stop light and watched a car rear end me going over 40 mph...thank God I'd left a gap or I would've hit the car in front of me.

When I'm sitting there to make a left turn, in busy traffic, then someone who wants to make a right then pulls up in their big ass car and completely BLOCKS MY VIEW. Then I can't see both ways, just so they can see one way to make a right turn. Even after they see that I've been waiting to turn for MUCH LONGER. Like, if traffic breaks, we can BOTH turn. Why do you have to block me so only YOU can turn? I'm a Doordash driver and this shit happens a million times a day. When people ride my ass, when I'm ALREADY going at least 5-10 mph over the speed limit. Some of those people ride my ass, then fly around me and brake check me. Someone did this to me when there was 3 lanes of traffic, when we were going 70 mph. They got right in front of me, forcing me to SLAM on my brakes, causing my 10-year-old daughter to hurt her chest on her seat belt because I had to stop or I would have hit them.

I get so annoyed when people leave their shopping trolley/cart in random places 😫, like all the way to the back of the car park or right next/close to the trolley collection points (I don't know if it's just a thing in the UK, but it's like a shelter made of metal framing & roof with clear plastic panels, that you put shopping trolley/cart in after your finished unloading groceries into your car. There is usually one between every 8-10 cars in each row.), even though most supermarkets have a coin slot you have to put in a £1 coin or coin token into to unlock from the trolley/cart in front of it, which you get back when returning the trolley/cart to trolley collection points. 🤷🏻‍♀️

For the walking slow and burping, if someone does it intentionally to be annoying or obnoxious, then I have a problem with it. Growing up my dad used to do the burping a lot. Keep in mind, when you're 8 or 9 years old, it's hilarious. I'm 41 now, so when he does it and I call him on it, he comes back with, "You used to think it was funny." Yeah, WHEN I WAS 8. When luxury car drivers completely ignore traffic rules (yes, I know people who drive regular cars do this too, but I see it more with fancy cars): not using their turn signals, cutting across multiple lanes of traffic, not yielding to pedestrians (and acting like it's our fault). As someone who walks in the morning, I see all of these things way too often. However, that one time you get to see them get pulled over, it's always worth it.

I only have two pet peeves to be fully honest, and things on the list are just things that more annoy me. People mixing up between jacket sweater/shirt and hoodie. i always wear hoodies, and it always gets under my skin when people call it a sweater. Like no, it has a HOOD, making it a HOODIE. Or I'm wearing a jacket and people call it a hoodie, no it has a ZIPPER, OBVIOUSLY! And not washing your hands. I'm not a germaphobe, but it's like, just ew. I AM a little guilty of it, but in my defense: There are too many people crowding in the bathroom vaping and their near the sinks and I can't get through them and they don't wanna listen when I say excuse me and don't wanna get jumped if I push past them.

I saw a video of an influencer from over seas and he pointed out that American drivers are more selfish on the roads. I will say, he isn't wrong as I see it everyday that I drive. People will see you coming and still pull out as they don't want to wait or they feel they don't need to wait, putting your life in danger. Such a major pet peeve.

i had a 'friend' back in grade 8 who one upped me in a conversation she wasn't included in I told another person that my cousin passed away the night before and this 'friend' rocked up, no context added, and has the audacity to say 'yeah... And my uncle is in the hospital right now too'. He was in surgery and was fine.

One pet peeve for me is when im driving and someone is in the car with me and im driving us somewhere and im trying to go the way i know and wanna go and they keep telling me which way to go or go a different way and just make comments on my driving or the way that I'm trying to go. Just let me go the way I wanna go!! I'm the one driving!! I almost wanna be like, "okay you wanna drive then?"

Just as an FYI the Cutting Over in Traffic one, especially if you are in the Turning Lane holding traffic to go into a strait lane....is technically a Road Violation & can get you a ticket if a cop sees you do it.

Some of these didn't make my list either,#1- rude to servers #2- invading my personal space and #3- entitled people and #4 would be anything rude in the driving world(I clumped em all together)

My huge pet peeves are Being called, or treated like, I'm stupid, One uppers, Micro-managers, Being constantly interrupted, Having my privacy invaded, Blatant favouritism, and Being blamed for something I haven't done. I used to work with people who treated everyone they didn't like as though they were stupid, or incompetent, while ignoring their buddies faults. One in particular would never let me say my piece, she would always interrupt and one-up whatever I was saying and talked to most of the others like they were too stupid to know how to do the job. She was the most obnoxious person to work with, her and her buddy would always bitch and moan about how slow everyone else was working, and how much better they were, because they 'worked fast', unlike the others. The supervisor, who was often helping them out, wouldn't care that they're doing it, because the three of them were friends, even when they were also working with someone else, someone they also would bitch and moan about being their back. Luckily, I left that workplace over a year ago, because it was doing terrible things to my mental health, and even having to stress about getting a new job was better than dealing with that BS

As someone with multiple chronic medical conditions ablism is pry my biggest thing, that and fat phobia from Drs. Spending my whole life, from the time i was just 10 lbs over weight all the way to my heaviest at 300+ lbs, being told the pain in my hips and knees will get better if i just lost weight. Hard to workout when your legs don't wanna be legs. Just found out at 34 after a fall at work that i actually have a birth defect in both my hips, my hip sockets face backwards and there is extra sharp bones on the sockets that grinds into my ball joint and has left me with mild to severe arthritis in my left hip. Im now facing surgery to hopefully prevent further damage but dr said i will eventually need a hip replacement and the sockets smoothed out

one of my classmates has a condition where when she burps it’s really really deep and really really loud. I feel bad for her sometimes cus ppl laugh, she doesn’t seem upset about it but sometimes you can’t really help laughing 😭

The loud breathing hurts me. 😂 I have very sensitive nasal tissue it doesn't take much to clog my nose. I've turned into a mouth breather and I'm very self-conscious about it. I'm trying to correct it but it's a little difficult when my nose won't play along.

Not #1 for me but up there and not mentioned: People who always have to play devil's advocate. It's just arguing for arguing sake and it gives me anxiety.

music without headphones: this drives me INSANE. i work in a coffee shop, and there is something about the tinny sound of peoples phones that really sets me off. sometimes i go over and ask them to turn it down because i find it so distracting. once on this absolutely packed train, this woman got her phone out to talk to her friend & put her on speakerphone. didnt tell the woman she was on speaker. so the woman is telling her friend all this super confidential stuff about her divorce, about who her husband had cheated on her with, i think there was STDs involved, all sorts. everyone around was mortified for the poor woman on the other end of the phone telling a train full of strangers. at one point, someone tried to kindly ask if she'd take it off speaker, and the woman gave her the dirtiest look and waved her away. i wish now i'd shouted 'mary, you're on speaker!' but then i also didn't want her to know all her business had been aired to a train full of people :S

The gaps in the road are there because it actually stops traffic jams in the road. Because if you're too close together in heavy traffic and the car in front of you slows and you are so close that you have to hit your brakes it causes a chain reaction that leads to those traffic jams. True story. So if you ever ask "why the hell did everyone slow down?" that's why. I have a self driving car and I just set mine to 3 car lengths on the highway. But as someone who understands the engineering side of traffic my problem is with people who drive right beside me. Or people who don't know the difference between weighted and sensor lights either way it's a computer, and an old one at that, it only knows if you're there or not. That white line is where the sensor is you pull forward too far and the light doesn't think you're in a hurry it thinks you're not there. Also any cop will tell you don't stop to close behind another driver because those of us who leave space can easily drive around a stalled vehicle. (But hey I have friends and siblings I understand. It's a habit I have from knowing civil engineering I see them making those mistakes and then adjusting with time and age. Doesn't really prick my conscience either way you just brought up something I'm knowable about and thought I'd help you see the why behind the action. But it's your vehicle you do with it as you please)

the one-upper... i knew this girl years ago, she had been a friend but we were never super close. she was this kind of person. if you were saying to others 'oh i've just been to the doctors and they've got me on this medication' she'd immediately go 'that's nothing! they put me on this other mediciation and that's much stronger' it was always health related stuff. we both had our fair share of bad medical stuff, we didn't need to have a one-up battle. but i finally snapped when i ran into her at the train station, having not seen her in over a year, and she was asking how i was, what i was up to. and i said, 'it's been pretty hard recently, my grandpa passed away last week and i was just at the funeral a couple of days ago' correct response would have been 'oh i'm so sorry for your loss' or something. her response: well my grandpa is in hospital dying of cancer, they think he hasn't got long to live. now this, is awful. but like...not sure you can one-up a dead person except with more actual dead people? and it was the way she said it. not like 'oh i understand how hard that can be, my grandpa...' it was more 'that's nothing! listen to what's happening to me' and i never spoke to her again after that. i walked away from the conversation, got on the train, blocked her and never spoke to her again.

Entitled in a good way would be, for example, if your parents left you something in their will, you are entitled to that thing.

If someone tells me something thou text message it is the "Senders Obligation" to say they want a response back. A simple question mark at the end of a thought/sentence is enough to tell the reader a response is required/necessary/expected. Otherwise I may think i don't have to respond. I should not have to remind others basic forms of communication skils, especially when they are older then me.

I just gotta say, making people feeling bad about wanting to make their birthday special is a pet peeve. And also like, you dont have to remember but If I tell you literally that its my birthday and I like making it nore special for me least you can do is try for it as long as it does not exceed your limits.

I don't really think I can put mouth sounds on a pet peeves list because for me.... I'm not annoyed, it physically causes me pain when I can hear someone chew. If you can't help it, Ill try to ignore it but at some point just get away from me. If it takes you longer than 5 minutes to eat and you know your eating makes me uncomfortable, do not sit near me to eat. I hate hearing MYSELF eat, it's part of why I have to be listening to something when I eat. Edit: Also, some of these feel extremely ableist. This pet peeve bothers me when there is a line and the cashier and customer are having a conversation and lasting a really long time. It happend recently at the Apple Store when the Genius Bar employ was talking about changing her major when I was waiting twenty minutes on top of the hour I was waiting when they said my appointment was ready. I get that they are paid to be friendly and engaging but not when there is a line

I get very annoyed when a guest tries to contribute and makes everything harder for me. Garlic onions salami etc get soaked into wood and plastic so easily, that’s why we have a) already ruined cutting boards/wooden utensils and bowls etc. or b) metal/glass ones. I had a friend who came over (not that close) who wanted to help who baked garlic bread on a dessert pan with a dessert baking liner, infusing it all with garlic, using our good wooden things that had never touched anything as invasive as garlic and even grinding it (yes accidentally but still) into our wooden floors (then leaving ME to clean it up) some of our things have just been completely ruined, and they asked why we were so bothered because if they have kitchen stuff they like to use it! We use our stuff too we just like to use it in a way that means we can keep using it later, without making cookies smell/taste like garlic! It’s also extremely stressful for me if someone goes into my room/touches my stuff/looks through my things without warning/permission as if they believe it’s their right to your stuff because they’re a guest. And when people decide they just HAVE to sit next to you on a bus or train etc even though there are many more empty seats just as close by and convenient/accessible where I don’t have to breath in the cigarette you very conspicuously smoked the second before getting on and rolling another as you’re stepping on! Fourthly, when people tell you something you’ll need for a document or a test and then when you give them that, that’s when they tell you two other things you need plus what you got wrong on the first thing (it took me six months to get a bank account of my own because until I got to a much larger bank and complained they never actually told me everything I needed and what I would need to have on those things. Lastly is wasteful people, people who spend way too much money or fuel or whatever for something that you can actually use more than once, or prefer to drive for forty minutes instead of taking a bus or something for thirty. My teacher would throw away thermometers after they ran out of battery because she thought they were broken, even though it’s pretty easy to replace the batteries, even in the stabby electronic thermometers you put in chocolate/milk etc

I'd rather have gaps in traffic than tailgaters. THOSE folks really bug the carp out of me!

The only reason I ever leave a dish/dishes in the sink is because I am so fucking sick of doing all the chores in this house and hope that the other people living in this house see it and do it. Otherwise I'm fine with putting it directly in the dishwasher. Breathing itself doesn't bother me unless the person is breathing on me and that's just the feel of breath on me. Not a fan.

The gap between cars is a safety issue, and we should all be doing it unless we're going less than about 20 mph. Following too closely is exactly how multi car traffic accidents happen. If the car in front of you slams on their brakes, and you don't have enough time to stop before crashing into them, and the car behind you doesn't have time to stop, and so on, people and cars end up seriously hurt. Please take this seriously. As a person who has witnessed such crashes, no one wants to be in one of those. Everyone please be safe. The extra time spent is worth the lessened risk of death and grievous bodily injury 🤕

Like that's INSANE. She literally did nothing to these people and they're sending her death wishes/threats -_- Also yes. Taylor probably would not want people pitting her against other artists. Like these crazed fans (minions, as you said) don't realize that they CAN listen to and have more than one favorite artist
