John has a really serious problem. He is totally overwhelymed by life and seems totally unable to put things in perspective. The issues he comes across at work, his clents problems, global issues all come at him en masse. He doesnt differentiate between big and small issues. I think this may have been triggered by losing that governmental job. He is angry, shocked and disbelieving. Cant come to terms with it. There is an element of ptsd. He is an alpha who likes to be in control exacerbateed by ocd. He has lost control of himself, his personal and professional life. He is floundering massively with no idea how to grab the reins and steer his life back on any track that he recognises. Needs serious help and should not be allowed anywhere near vulnerable people until he gets it.

So one set of parents ignore their child Megans pain and distress to the point where she self harms, then sit in critical judgment of Megan saying she ignores her own childs needs. Megans parents have emotionally neglected both of their own children but refuse to see it, preferring to preserve their own Ego's by turning up to national TV and saying Dr Phill we did everything right so help us to make our daughter the bad guy here, and to make matters worse they are weaponising sibling rivalry between the two sisters. The younger sister might just as well become a single mother too as they've designated her role in the family now a surrogate enabler to their cause. I hope Megan gets the real support she needs because there is no reason she could not be a great mother to that beautiful child once her parents learn or are made to stop setting Megan up to fail at parenting.

😅as I was growing up we were not allowed to date as our immigrant parents made it clear that they brought us to Australia to ensure we received an education before all else. Living in a small coastal town we saw so much..MY 2 best friends left school at 15years of age. I missed them..the laughter we shared...one was told by her parents that she was 15 therefore she had to leave home and go to the city to get a job. I didn't see her until she brought her baby to show me. I didn't know how to carry a baby safely...she was half my height....and so beautiful. My friend was 16 or approaching 17. A similar experience for my other friend a mum and a teenager. I would see other young teenage girls pregnant and heard others in our shop talking about abortions they wanted or had... I attended a catholic school where our nuns instilled in us the value of human life and that the rules our parents insisted on where the best for all. Dr Phil I remember saying children should not be having children. I saw young girls who had no idea of the responsibilities and fatigue that a baby brings,,,,all these 50 years later it still happens. The joy that our beloved gifts from our loving Lord bring into our lives....but it isn't easy....thankyou for addressing the problem in a holistic way . I was nearly 18 when i had my 1st son...21 when i had my 2nd. I knew from the moment they were born that my life would never come 1st again. My family were a brilliant support ....but they were my responsibility. This girl needs support...but also needs to take responsibility ....shes not a child still....so needs to stop behaving like one. All the while shes called a "child" shes going to behave like one.

The people who are screaming that its dangerous for the kid to walk around the city himself do not understand that this is how New Yorkers raise their kids. My father made me memorize the “grid” (up to Harlem). And I would talk the subway to broadway dance center by myself when I was YOUNG. It’s safer to have a kid that knows how to escape regardless of circumstance. It doesn’t matter if you are “there” as a parent. If you have lost control of a situation, and something happens to YOU your kid needs to know how to leave and get home safely.
