Hi, if u remember or can check quickly pls, does this rc have a dead zone in throttle? Heard that when u press 1/4th of trigger, nothing happens, until u press a little bit further... (different from a throttle delay, where any press on trigger, eventually inputs, but delayed).

I use one of these in a high powered basher and it makes a big difference! Can slide around with it pretty easy. But for actual drifting idk but for racing it's really good

I have watched Troy with crawling videos for a while. He always does a great job of describing a crawler after he gets it. I have made a few purchases based on his reviews.

VRD is a great platform, but I definitely feel that the Carbon is a better value for most folks who are into crawling.

You can actually turn the transmission around so that the motor is in the rear and mount the battery in front of the transmission.

It's almost like the vanquish designers was comping with this truck without anyone finding out the truck

You have a rotary tool so grind some of the body away because of tire expansion in the rear and you can grind some off the gear cover and the right suspension arm it won't hurt anything 😊👍

Is it good ? I built the crawler kit from 3 racing yrs ago and it was awesome but I broke the skid plate trying to get out a stripped screw and just kinda trashed it recently doing spring cleaning was thinking another 3racing kit would be fun

1/18th scale is the best outdoor crawlers once upgraded you can find tough lines and course ANYWHERE as they are small enough that obstacles are easy to find and they are easily just as capable as 1/10th scale

I agree the Vanquish wins for the ultimate performance ceiling. I'd also lean towards the carbon kit if you have any plans to upgrade because of how much more you get. Vanquish geometry is set and their axles are top notch, so this works great for a first crawler or for someone that doesn't have a parts bin to pull from for electronics. I love Element stuff, but if you are looking for a non-Traxxas portal axle, the F10 wins every time for me. Also the VRD comes with a very usable transmitter that isn't instantly "ready to replace" haha It would be cool to hear some commentary as you drive instead of the music. I have things I watch for, but I'd pick commentary and impressions over montage every time. At the same time, thank you for knowing how to set your levels when you do play music. There are a few that blast us when they play music or intros and I go grabbing for volume

Preface: I'm just researching the hobby so I don't know anything, I just have questions. I see there are MUCH cheaper gyros available online so wouldn't those be more suitable for a mini drifter like this? What's the performance difference between a $20 gyro and a $60 gyro? Significant enough for an absolute beginner to notice?
