@@joseluisruiz3789 I had a couple head units that allowed a sub wired on the rear channel instead of a pair of speakers. Tried several different subs wired up with a Sony deck as a work stereo and people were always impressed. A decent 8 or 10 is all you need. With some 6.5's or 6x9's.

If you have an old desktop computer sitting around and in a bind for a power adapter, use the power supply from the computer. Cut and cap all wires not yellow or black, and use the yellow + and black - for your juice. Great use of your components and I needed your part of wiring in the additional for testing. I have an old Pioneer single cid unit with a computer power supply that works great. Now with your help, I can add testing to it. Be blessed. Shalom.

It sounds much better than most of those homebrew boombox videos I've seen where the sound is often very boxy and bass sounding very poor to zero. People seem to think that you can put any speaker driver into any sized box and it will be booming. Your video is the best example of a boom box I've seen so far.

LOVE THIS! I have been working on my garage audio setup for a while, and am adding a dedicated sub with a plate amp. I'm using a Home Audio receiver I had laying around, not a car deck. But I also want to build a semi-portable setup to upgrade from my Klipsch KMC3 Bluetooth speaker. The Klipsch is great, but I want more, and it gets a lot of port noise at louder volumes.

Great video but just a quick suggestion for the power, I would use a PC power supply. You can buy 800-1500 watt units for a reasonable price and that would be rms power not max. For years I had 2 kicker 12" subs running off a 650 watt antec power supply and I never got any clipping on the amp. A quality 850 watt PSU would give you around 70 amps on the 12 volt rail, with a 1300 watt psu you could push over a 100 amps all day long.

In my workshop I have been using an old System for 10 years. A Sony AM/FM CD player to an old Rockford Fosgate 2 channel ,run to an MB Quarts 6.5 mid.1 inch tweeter. Then the same amp bridged running 12 in Kicker. I use a little motorcycle battery hooked up to a Battery Tender to run the system. yours looks better....but mine is fine!

I get the idea that your channel is going to make me want to spend money I don't have! Way back in '96 I had a blue Dodge 1500 with Shelby stripes. My local shop (Sound Obsessions) ordered 10 JL Audio 18W6 subs. They only ended up using 8 in their Blazer so they installed the remaining 2 in my regular cab 1500. I ended up losing my centre seat to a full time centre console to fit the box, but damn! So low! PPI monoblock amp. Anyways. After that trip down memory lane I've found your channel. We'll see where this goes! Love your videos!

My idea is using a sealed prefab box with a light duty 8-12" DVC sub and a pair of conventional 4ohm indoor/outdoor speakers mounted to the sides, a head unit mounted on top and inside a sealed case that flips open. Another case mounted on the rear could hold a 12v power supply and/or a battery plus accessories, and the whole damn thing can fit on folding 2-wheel cart or small furniture dolly. I would install conventional speaker terminal cups on the top case for L/R speaker & Sub outputs, and use binding posts with plastic screw-down caps to connect the battery, all relatively sealed up for outdoor use. I'd also have accessories to connect the HU directly to a car battery for tailgating purposes.
