Do you know the glass bowl trick with ground nests? If you can get a clear glass bowl over the opening of the ground nest, yellowjackets will be trapped inside their nest and die, especially if it's in the sun. If you just block the entrance up, they dig a new one, but the clear glass confuses them into thinking they should be able to get out, so they don't dig around it. Works like a charm.

Well hello neighbor lol...I'm in Virginia myself and my parents were both born in West Virginia. I'm located probably 45 min to an hour away from you in henrico county Virginia close to New Kent and charles city. I remember many Goth (emo) kids and I went through a pykn rock kinda goth thing myself but I love all animals and didn't have enough of the darkness I suppose. I'm 46 now and probably more of a hippy spiritual kind of person these days. I'm a peer recovery specialist for alcoholism addiction and mental health issues. I dont know what it is but I I relate to your stories in someway or another. Mabie it's the southern thing or something like that but I do enjoy your stories and just want to say Thanks for your time cause its important and I appreciate it!

As for the woke, your sincerity mixed with specs of humour, still shines through! You are definitely in the know , otherwise you wouldn't waist your time with this narrative! I'm in your age group & also a fellow generation Xer so we know the massive changes technology has impacted this world we live in! Our childhood " science fiction" has become part of our every day life so as we live on & learn, we discover so much of our childhood "old wives tales" are actually reality!! I often take pictures of the woods surrounding my house in central ga & then later zoom in to inspect for odd things or creatures that may or may not be there! Earlier this year, while inspecting such photos, there under a small patch of undergrowth , I noticed a face! At closer inspection I found several faces appearing to have been aware of me & hiding as if to be totally aware I felt there presence! The main face was of a small human like creature with half his face painted black & other side white & a distinct dark black mohawk with another creature standing behind him wearing a warlock type hat with symbols of the moon & stars on it! It was zoomed in from about 50 yards so these creatures couldn't have stood more than 10" tall! I showed the picture to my brother & mother only & it spooked me so badly that I wound up deleting it off my phone!! Anyhow I was & am of sober mind & never been thought to be crazy by anyone who knows me so for what it's worth, there are living beings in some form or another living around us & believing that they exist or not is a matter of how much research one is willing to do to discover them!! They are there!!
