Small controlled retreats by Ukrainians while exhausting Russian logistics all the back to refineries seems like a good strategy as smaller villages get shelled to the extent of not being possible to live in or safely defend and Russian bodies pile up. Diseases are spreading and killing the remaining Russians who don't starve or freeze to death.
