Great news, Dr. Cliff! Glad to hear you're almost ready to move back in again.

I am having trouble squaring the fact that, while you trash the Cosco hearing clinic, consumers consistently rank their Costco hearing service as excellent. I guess you can "square" this by trashing the Consumer Reports findings. Convenient.

A physical therapist insisted i stretch my neck forward and down. I said it causes headache and ring in ears. She said thats a medical problem and refered me to my doctor. My doctor agreed but did nothing. After a couple more PT apps i quit going bc she wouldnt listen and was making me worse..

Question. How can one test/find out if an Airport or other places are Auracast enabled/setup? I want to get our City and Airport onboard with this. Thank you for such an educational video. I am finding very few hearing aid tech people understand this, even from some of the hearing aid manufacturers themselves. You are one of the few who do understand it. This rapidly evolving tech space, really is a big deal. I look forward to our next visit to Arizona and Phoenix for First Friday Art Night. I will also plan to visit your hearing clinic too, also in hopes to meet and chat about this tech with you. I'll be in touch. Thank You

I have this. Was often told the same thing multiple times. Now as a teacher, I am having to do the same to a clearly (undiagnosed) adhd student. It is frustrating for both of us….just because i know what is causing it…I don’t know how to work around it. I;m not in the position to tell her parents to get her diagnosed.

Things appear to be moving along nicely. Glad the contractors were able to save some materials and you were able to get replacement materials. Looks like the weather is cooperating with the move also. Spring in Oregon involves rain which would really hamper a smooth transition. Sending good thoughts your way and hope business goes back to normal soon.

Another way to connect to TV is with a Digital/Analog converter connected to a BT transmitter. This allows you to listen via your hearing aids while others still hear the normal TV audio. I bought both the converter that connects to the Digital Audio Output on TV and includes required cables and BT transmitter on Amazon for about $27.

What I hear is just like the ringing you get in your ears after a sudden loud noise such as a gunshot, but it never goes away. In general it never varies except a few times a month when it might change pitch and sound different but then it clears up after a minute or two and goes back to what it was. I have been diagnosed with mild hearing loss because when in noisy settings conversations are hard to make out. So ever since I've had this, I have made good use of hearing protection even if the noise isn't all that loud, but especially when using power equipment, even a vacuum, as well as in the movie theater (simple ear plugs). My tinnitus and hearing loss isn't getting any better but it appears not getting any worse either.

I was diagnosed with acoustic trauma in my left ear and I admit I used to listen to loud music with headphones the last few years. I am 51 and after my ENT specialist appointment I walked out with 4 different medications including tablets and drops both oral and directly to the ear for 4 months one medication only for one week and one for a month the rest for 4 months. The ENT said this treatment works on 75% of patients. I am not that concerned by hearing loss thought at 51 there must be a price to pay for my reckless habit of headphone loud music but am sacred this sound/buzzing in the left lower side of my head is permanent 😢 i must say it’s on and off so I can have it for 2-3 days and then followed by couple of days rest and this been going on for months. Anyone been through this ? Any hope ?, any help ? Started treatment yesterday.

Question: I have Xfinity cable and internet... I don't stream.... can I still use xfinity cable tv options with Roku or do I have to switch over to Roku for all my TV?

I don’t believe this to be true. Oticon’s only concern is its profits, what ever happened about caring for their patients. Greed and money is all Oticon is concerned about.

The commercial was hilarious. Those people were having way too much fun with ear wax. I would suspect that other non-wax substances were involved to create that level of excitement.

I wear Unitron hearing aids. I got them from an audiology company where they gave me all the tests and recommended them. Their price ranged from AU$4000 to AU$11000 per pair depending on the features you wanted. The base models were exactly the same unit as the top of the range model, the top model just having features activated that the lower models didn't have using software. You really can't tell me it costs AU$7000 to activate features by software. It's not a scam, but a ripoff. Respectable audiologist companies could easily knock thousands off their prices because: 1. They'd still make huge profits even at the lower prices, and 2. They know people are prepared to pay such huge prices because they think that huge price means they are getting something special, whereas they are just units that cost $100 or so to manufacture and the software makes the difference.

As always, I enjoyed your video. Interesting learning of the upcoming insurance issues with hearing aid coverage. I feel fortunate that even though I have Medicare I kept my previous insurance (now my secondary) as parts C & D. So I have a substantial amount being paid towards my next pair of hearing aids. The one thing that I understand is that a prior authorization is required now which should not be difficult to defend since I have been needing them for over 10 -12 years now. Thanks for sharing your time and knowledge.

I'm looking for a way to prevent ear infections while keeping my ears clean. If I let any water in my ears, I will get an infection. I have to be very careful in showers. So this system won't work for me, since I'd have to rinse my ears out afterwards. Additionally, anything peroxide-related is a no-go for me. I've had loud tinnitus in my left ear for the last 12 years after using an over-the-counter ear cleaning kit. The outside of my ear canals get crusty if I don't clean them, but I also can't clean them without causing some other issue. I've tried cleaning the outside with rubbing alcohol. That made the crust issue worse. I really don't know what to try at this point.

For the Resound Nexia 9 with rechargeable battery, can that battery be changed by my hearing provider - or does the hearing aid have to be serviced by GN Resound for a battery replacement?
@user-sv2mg8yg7n21 годину тому
What be done is buy the hearing aids. And separate the cost service from heating cost. By a plan or pay per visit. And go where you want to buy and go where want for service. Insurance should say we pay this much for a doctor visit, and you pay the rest.

Although some of the lack of understandability of speech in modern films and TV may be attributed to hearing loss, the fact is that much of it comes from poor diction by modern actors, and from sound engineers making background sounds, music, etc. too loud in relation to the dialog. The proof of this is that unintelligibility is less of a problem when watching re-releases of old films than when watching new releases.
