You should try supercharging one with a small tank of compressed air and see how much power it would make. Just regulate the pressure down to one or two pounds and feed it as much as it can handle.

So the engine uses about 10 liters of air a minute (11500rpm/4stroke*3.5cc). If you had a 1L tank at 100 psi, regulated down to 2psi, you'd get 50L of air. So it would run the engine for about 5 minutes at full load.

Would be hard to do without EFI. A carb requires ambient pressure on one side...

@@christhut8140 The pressure would go the wrong way through the carb, and the engine wouldn't run. Pull-through superchargers work because the compression happens after the carb, and the supercharger is creating a vacuum at the carb.

Love this build and well done, I have seen similar machines with the general nitro engines and a chain saw with a CY 32cc gas engine it was loud and worked better than expected.

That's awesome. Though I'd suggest couple additions, handle for other hand for better hold for some uses, and cover for sandbelt near hand.You already have bolts there, just print a cover and use longer bolts.

Just a thought , would you make some parts for cost obviously ?? Nothing you've made or make - just some simple tube type cnc and lathe work. Try a V-shape for the valves, like a Mazda Rotary. You may need help drawing or distributing air in the cylinder. Think of the airflow over a standard valve.

Electric angle grinder with a flapper wheel would clean up that pipe in a jiffy :P You could power it with a small portable generator like a Honda EU2000i if you need portability // though not nearly as cool // your custom make & DIY content video also super dope! Now, if you started making similarly sized tools running on regular gas or diesel(or even propane or butane) you would really have something with extended use time that would make them genuinely preferable to battery tools for many applications(work away from people for extended periods of time often involve either going back to the car and it's battery to charge tool batteries, or using a fueled generator on-site to do it).............
