This is Ontario's horse country, but the industry has been savaged by a stupid government which pushed the tax on the pari-mutuel up to 17%. At 15%, a few people could make serious money, and everybody knew it, which gave us all hope. I did OK the one summer I spent at the track. I'm good at math and at reading the Racing Form, but my girlfriend at the time was the redoubtable Heather Dean, and she both knew horses and was awfully good at chatting up the Mafiosos in the barns before races. E.g., a black horse may have to make a run for the border because the sweat is making the dye run off after a successful race... At 17% I doubt that anybody can make very much. My view is widely shared. So the hopeful and intelligent bulk of Whee the Peepul say the Hell with it. The goverment can still make money off the fools, but no, there are not nearly as many of _them_ as cynics think.

He probably does but idgaf formula e is great They race in monaco and had 100+ overtakes there The misano races were so entertaining, drivers constantly going side by side Cars sound cool, like spaceships, to me, despite what everyone says, and they look cool too. People say it has no soul but the driving is way more raw than formula 1 could ever hope to be.

The shorter races make for more action packed races.

600kw charging pit stops may do just that. they are looking to introduce that next season as this car launches

Thankfully, I tend to watch/attend races with my eyes open, so I get to enjoy Formula E. Maybe you could try that.

They cant because of the current batteries technology

they are trying to even that out with 600kw charging pit stops. F1 had refueling untill engines got efficient enough to run the whole distance. and FE will do the same. but with charging ofc

In the future maybe. But as long as combustion engines have advantages, as long they will stay in F1.

FE has electric exclusivity untill 2039. so dw you petrolheads will have your all important V6 vaccum sound a few more years still

@@PozzaPizz currently that is not possible and the reason is because the engines have to be v6 hybrids. If they would just use v8 or v10 again no problem. All the electric stuff takes away loads of space.

FE isn't on PPV. You can watch on regular cable, streaming services, free sites. Just need to look for it

I disagree! I think, this idea would only infuriate purist petrol heads who still wouldn't accept them as proper cars, but also those fascinated with this new tech, as they'd like to see them stride their own, new way and not copy such "dated" tech from back then.
